The artifacts library: save, organise, and reuse everything you build

Every conversation used to be a dead end for the things you built in it. Write a script, get a great outline, generate a spreadsheet — close the chat and it's gone unless you copy-pasted it somewhere safe. Today that changes: the artifacts library is a permanent home for everything the assistant produces, and it lives at /app/library.

Folders and subfolders

Artifacts pile up fast once you're actually using them, so the library is organised the same way your files are: folders and subfolders. Group a client's work into one folder, keep your personal projects in another, nest as deep as you need. It's the difference between a library and a junk drawer.

Living documents, not snapshots

Edit an artifact — yours or an agent's — and 1Chat doesn't overwrite the old version, it creates a new one. Every artifact carries its full version history, so you can see how something evolved or step back to an earlier draft. Nothing you build is ever really final; it's just the latest version.

Sharing with your agents

This is where the library earns its keep. You can grant an agent access to a specific artifact or an entire folder, and choose the level per grant: read, so the agent can reference it while it works, or read-write, so it can actually edit the thing as part of doing its job. Grant a folder and the access cascades — everything inside it, including subfolders, comes along automatically. Set it up once at the folder level and you never have to think about it again as new artifacts land inside.

Agents use this for real work, not just lookup: a research agent with read access to your notes folder, a writing agent with read-write access to your drafts. Open any agent's page and you'll see exactly which artifacts and folders it can touch.

Pulling artifacts into a chat

You don't have to go find an artifact and attach it manually — type # in any chat followed by its name, the same way @ brings in an agent, and it's part of the conversation. No hunting through folders mid-chat, no re-pasting content you already saved once.

The library turns every good thing the assistant makes into something durable — organised, versioned, and shareable with the specialists you've built to use it.
