Introducing Spaces: a separate workspace for every project

JJamesJuly 27, 2026

Until now everything lived in one long stream: work questions next to dinner recipes, a client's documents next to your own. Today we're shipping Spaces — a self-contained workspace you can switch between from the tabs up top, each with its own context.

@researcher what did we learn about pricing last week?

Three takeaways from the competitor sweep: usage-based beats seats in this segment, the $20 anchor holds, and annual discounts convert best at 2 months free.

What a Space holds

Each Space keeps its own:

  • Chats — the conversations that belong to that project, not mixed in with everything else.
  • Knowledge — the documents you've uploaded for this work, and nothing from another Space.
  • Connected apps — a Space can use the Gmail or Drive account that fits it, kept separate from your other Spaces.
  • Memorywhat the assistant remembers is scoped, so a client Space never leaks into your personal one.
  • A default model — set the model that suits the work; new chats in the Space start there.

Why it matters

The assistant is only as good as the context it has — but more context isn't always better. When your side-project's notes bleed into a work answer, that's noise. Spaces give you clean separation: open the Space, and everything the assistant sees is the right stuff for that job.

Getting started

Your existing chats live in your Account Space — nothing moved. Create a new Space from the tab bar, give it a name, pick a default model, and start adding documents or connecting the apps it should use. Switch between Spaces anytime; each remembers exactly where you left off.

One assistant, many contexts — each kept where it belongs.

Try it yourself

Every model, one memory, and agents that work the way you do.
